Just wondering what everyone experienced in regards to the number of nappy changes in their newborn?
Was it the usual 8ish a day everyone talks about or was it a lot less/a lot more for you?
Oh, and has anybody tried the new babylove nappies with a pooh pouch? If so, how did you find them?
My DS was 8-12 nappies a day initially. He did little poos ALL the time. :hair:  We had no success with the babylove nappies. The only ones that would control a poo explosion for us was huggies (and even then some escaped up his back occasionally but def better than babylove).

To start with it felt like more lol, everytime I turned around I was changing another!!!
As for the babylove nappies I loved them but I used them last time with ds1, actually prefer them over huggies :)
lots of changes upto 10 a day. With poo explosions they just happen...mke sure you have plenty of nappies and wipes you will need them
DD1 didnt wee or poo much so probably about 6-8 changes a day max
DD2 was a poo machine  and every feed was a joy from the moment she was born even the lady I shared a room with was laughing about her thunder pants. It did settle down.

Easily 10 a day! At least!!!
All newborn nappies leak. But we found huggies the best.
I think most people use huggies at birth, and make brand changes later. There isn't much to compare to a newborn huggies.

Well my little man has been out for 2 weeks now!
He is getting about 6 nappy changes a day (sometimes 8) and I actually have found babylove nappies better than huggies which surprised me - not one leak.
i found pampers were best as their newbirns com in 2 weight ranges so you get a better fit in those first weeks
we usually changed DS when he was due for a feed (unless he did a poo) re: the nappies, i found huggies the best, as the newborn ones have a strip down the front of them which changes colour when the nappy is wet.

I second that, Pampers are great! Huggies are good too, but I think Pampers are softer and less bulky when wet. The size 1 (just up from newborn) is such a great idea don't u think? I was able to use them a lot longer than Huggies newborn, which means there's less of a jump to the next size up.
As for changes per day, at least 10! Every time I turned around I was changing another nappy with DS, as well as my toddler DDs nappies of course!
It was a little funny the other day.. SIL is having a baby, and when I asked her if she had bought nappies yet she said she had 2 packets of 36 nappies and that it should last her at least the first 3 months!!! Ahhh she is in for a shock.. =)

I have mainly used huggies for dd from newborn to now, have tried babylove but really not too impressed with them. A friend suggested I try the aldi nappies, so I did. And they are fantastic!! And about half the price of huggies per nappy.

I've only used huggies and they've been great. DD is still in them at 5 and a half weeks and we've only had 2 tiny leaks and by god were those nappies full....it was a poonami lol!

My baby is 1 week old and his birth weight is 3.9kg. I am using Dri-Bot (Target) and also Coles Brand nappy which works great!
First day, I used about 8ish a day and the second day too.
But at 7th day, he does about 4 times a day now. Mostly wet nappy rather than poo.

Those Babylove Poo Pouches, I thought they were just a gimmick, but I actually prefer them over the Huggies nappies :D We have had leaky Huggies nappies, but NEVER a leaky Babylove nappy :D
Yeah about 8-10 nappy changes a day here.

At least 10 changes a day - sometimes more!
I used Huggies mostly and Babylove occasionally
These days at 20 months I only use Huggies as DD gets bad nappy rash if we use anything else
