Tea Lady

It's a lovely rainy day in my part of the world and I thought I'd make the most of it by brewing up some chai tea (for some reason I always have to have it on rainy days - yum!). Anyway, while it's on the stove I thought I'd share my recipe in case anyone else wants it.............
2 tbsp ordinary tea
7 cups water
1 cinnamon stick
1 inch peeled sliced ginger
6 cardamom pods
6 peppercorns
12 whole cloves
1 cup milk
4 tbsp brown sugar.
Boil it all up for about 5 mins, then leave to steep for about another 5 mins. Make sure you strain it before you drink it! BTW don't be put off by boiling the milk - it tastes terrific
