There must be! I have never seen so many pregnant ladies in one suburb in my life!

Just thought it might be nice to know some local mums to be...

About me -

I'm due 9.11.1
I'm oldish to be having my first - I'm 39
I like good food (usually, at the moment I seem to like Twisties more than I should), films and markets
I can't wait for the next series of True Blood!

I am not in Annandale, but pretty close :) I am a first time mom, new to Sydney, and Australia actually....moved here 2 years ago from the US. I am due Aug 11, so not too far off from you :P Would love to chat sometime.

Hi Dixie,

Good to meet you - that'd be great to have a chat!

What an exciting time for you - in a new(ish) country and about to have a baby - must have its challenges too.

I look forward to sharing some of this (so far rather stressful and odd) experience with you!

Carolyn

Cool, do you have email or perhaps some sort of chat program we can try and catch up on?

Can't wait to chat some!

Hi girls,

Just thought I'd say hi. I've just moved to Sydney from Ireland (have been here for 10 days only!) and am due first baby in August, eeek! We're living in Pyrmont at the moment, but only for 2 months, need to find a more permanent house and have been thinking about Annandale, so this post caught my eye.

Would love to hear what you think of Annandale and around there as an area to live. Have been looking for mums-to-be groups and classes too, to get out and about and meet some people. Are you guys signed up to anything?

Nice to 'meet' you.

Hey :) Welcome to Australia and to Sydney. I kinda know how you feel, as I am newish to the country (been here nearly 2 years) and also due in August with my first child. When in August are you due?

I cannot speak directly for Annadale, but I am in Glebe, which is pretty close and it has been lovely living here, definitely a nice place, close enough to the city, but not TOO close.

I would love to find some mums-to-be groups and classes also! So hopefully you will get some answers on that. At the moment the only thing I am signed up for is my childbirth classes at the hospital, which I can't wait for.

The hospital here seems really nice too...RPAH is where I will be going, but I am going public, so I suppose if you are going private it might be different for you.

ha ha. I sent you a pm before I read this.

So yup, we're at RPA also. And public, through the Birth Centre. Due around 2nd August, but I'm not that convinced by the dates, think it's more like the 8th or 10th or something! What about you?

Anyway, if you're up for it maybe drop me a message and we could catch up for coffee or something!

Hello!

I love Annandale - it's got lots of parks around and is very kid-friendly.

There's a yoga with a mums and bubs program on for babies over 6 weeks, and that looks good too.

I'm at RP public too

Welcome to Sydney and I'll keep my eyes out for any other stuff going on around here :)

Hello! I'm new to this site and a new Mum... My son is 4 weeks old, and I'm looking for a group of newbie mums in the Annandale area too. I'm going to my first mums group next week, but would love to meet some other mums in the area. No such thing as too many cups of tea and catch ups!

Anyone keen for a new mums coffee or walk in the park? : )

Hi Dixie Chick

Congrats on the birth of your baby! I hope you are all doing well.

Excellent, Glebe isn't far at all. I'm a bit of a newbie to forums so I'm not exactly sure how to pm you to arrange?!
