View Full Version : TMI lonnnnng AF
im reallly confused... i have weird cycles, but iv never had this, af has been here for 12 days now... iv had to put off surgery because of it but the problem is its not heavy, but its very mucousy (sp?) almost like EWCM but red.... does that make sence? usually AF is heavy for 5 days, lightens then stops at 7days.... its been this mucousy stuff for about 5days?
what could this mean?

IT is possible ( i ahve heard) to ovulate whilst you ahve your AF.
If you're worried I would say go and have a chat with your doc though
yeah i have booked into dr, but cant get in til monday...

I usually get my AF for about 6 days heavy but last mth I got it very lightly but for 9 days. I have never had it for that long. I don't know why it did that.
I'm sorry I don't have any answers for you but hopefully the doc will

Stopping the pill, thyroid problems and hormonal imbalances can cause this. My neice does this with her cycles. The Dr. told her it was due to hormone fluctuations and put her on the pill to regulate it. Being you are trying to concieve this may not be the best option for you. I would definately be speaking to a Dr. as it can be a sign of fertility issues. Wishing you luck!! I know it must be miserable as my cycles only last for 3 days and that seems long enough to me.
thanks... i do have pcos but still iv never had it this long!! frustrating... cd13 now....
and omg 22days!! aghhh bugger that!! my surgary has been put down for this thursday so hopefully its gone by then!
