Hello! I am hoping that someone might be able to help me...

I have just found out that I "have"(??) Rhesus disease. After losing my little baby last year due to a foetal maternal haemorhage, I have found out that the anti-D did not work and my body is producing antibodies to fight positive red blood cells. We are currently undergoing further blood tests - in particular for my husband to find out whether we have a chance of carrying a negative blood child in the future. I am very worried and anxious about what to expect.

I am keen to hear from anyone who has been through a pregnancy with rhesus disease, what the results were and what you experienced. I am very anxious about entering into another pregnancy after giving birth to my stillborn son only two days out from his due date. Am really looking for some support or someone to talk to?? If anyone can help, I would love to hear from you. I really need to know that others have got through this before.

Thank you.

I know this was posted a while back, but I'm happy to answer any questions if you're still around. I have this too & am pregnant with baby #5.

Kotakai I would love to hear about your pregnancies. I had Baby #2 back in June and had developed D-antibodies with her, and M-antibodies in my first pregnancy. Nothing too scary happened besides mild jaundice both times but I am very anxious about getting pregnant again since I developed the aggressive D antibodies - from what I understand they get worse every subsequent pregnancy and the effects can be pretty full-on. Both my girls are rh+ so the chances of concieving another rh+ baby would be quite high. Would love to hear a happy rhesus disease story as I would love to have another child. Every day I count my blessings for my two healthy girls.
