New Mum - Q of constipation

:wave: Hi There! I am a newie to this and to motherhood! I have a 4 mth baby girl. Q - Has anyone used Karicare Gold forumla to combat the problem of constipation, as I feed her S26 but she is always constipated.

My son is only 12 weeks old, but I tried him on S26 Gold and Nan Gold, he was constipated on both, so I decided to give Karicare Goat formula a go, he has been on it a week now, and is doing much better :thumbsup: Its apparently easier for them to digest :)

My daughter was on S26 when she came home from the hospital and had such bad constipation it was crazy.

I took her to the docs and they said put her on Karicare Gold and the constipation went straight away.

As for the Karicare Gold this was the only forumla i could use with miss 3 as she had really bad constipation i try her on S26 and NAN which didn't help

Yeah my Midwife suggested the Karicare Gold and the Nan Gold to try. So yeah I will give it a go!

Hi there Winkipop - very cute name by the way! - you may want to post this thread in the feeding section as well - you just might get a broader 'audience' than in the intro section

Prob a silly suggestion but have you tried upping the water for bubs - I find this helps - DD had constipation when she first went to formula but it didn't last, seemed as though it was just her body getting used to the change

hi there im new to this as my 1st post just a bit scared to reply.
anyway i started using s26 with my ds1 and he got constipated and used karicare gold with him then ds2 after that it helped his reflux as well. i used it also with ds3 then when he was bigger i started using the heinz formula, that was pretty good also but not all the goodness as karicare gold. they also say karicare gold is the closest formula to breast milk, the only reason they use s26 in the hospital as its sponsered there.

My bub used to be on Karicare Gold, but I switched him because he got constipated. Looking back, I should have kept him on it longer before making that judgement, because he was probably just adjusting to the bf-formula transition.

Babies are so individual. What works for your little bub may not work for another. Try him on the Karicare - it may work wonders for him!
