I have just found out that I may have endo. It was picked up in an ultrasound and apparently it is on my ovary. I dont have period pain, my cycles are regular and quite light. My only symptom is pre menstrual spotting. What I am wondering is..... Will having endo on my ovary affect my chances in TTC?
I dont really know anything about ENDO and would like an idea on what I could be in for.
Thankyou :)

Hi there, sorry to hear that u may have endo.

To answer your question, a couple of my girlfriends have minor endo and they were able to conceive naturally. Unfortunately I have suffered with endo for some time now and have been ttc for 10 mths. In feb I had a lap to remove all the endo coz I couldn't handle the pain (really painful AF). My fs said that the next 3-6 mths I should have an increased chance of conception...fingers crossed.

Hope this was helpful !

Thankyou slf2205, It does help to know that it has happened for others. I am thinking that if I do have it , it must be a mild case as my only symptom is premenstrual spotting. I am not worrying myself until I know for sure. I wish you lots of luck in TTC and :fingerscrossed: for the next 3-6 months

So it turns out that I do have ENDO on one of my ovaries :(. Not sure what really happens from here. I am not in any pain and I still O from that Ovary so I just have to wait and see what my options are.

Hi there

Our Fertility specialist suggested I do an internal ultrasound and a tubal patency test where they flush dye inside to see if there's any blockage in there. Anyway my tubes were fine but the gynocologist said I had some endo on one of my ovaries. I was scheduled to see the FS a few weeks after my ultrasound but I did an early pregnancy test and it was positive, so I never went to see my FS to see how much endo I had. I know I become pregnant after the procedure because I did it right after my period.

So what I'm saying is that I don't know what was stoppping me from getting pregnant but having those procedures done may have helped. I too never had any pains during my periods, and ovulated regularly. So it is possible. But I'm sorry I have limited knowlegde of endo but just wanted to share my experience.

Good luck sending you some of these :babydust1:

Hi cherished, so sorry to hear about the endo darl. It is really positive that you are still O'ing from that ovary though and are pain free. Endo pain is terrible and I don't wish that type of pain on anyone. I'm in serve pain and can't move out of bed for literally 2 days when AF flow arrives.

I would highly suggest a lap & dye. This will ensure there are no blockages in your tube or endo anywhere else. Endo can't always be picked up on u/s and they only way to know for sure that nothing else is effected is by going in and having a look. Let me know how u go. Thinking of you xox

Bibs - Thankyou for sharing your experience, I really appreciate it. I just had a internal ultrasound and dye test last cycle and it was then that they found the endo on 1 of my ovaries. Thankfully all tubes were free of blockages but I had the procedure very close to O. I had a positive OPK that afternoon but was a little too tender to DTD that day. So maybe we just missed out timing wise. Fingers crossed that next cycle will be it for us

Slf - As I am going through the public system so who knows when my next appointment will be and what they will suggest. I have been considering seeing a FS but I dont have private health cover so I am unsure of the costs in seeing one. As we have been told that everything is fine and its just a matter of time, DP isn't overly enthused about seeing a FS and wants to hold off a little longer. Me on the other hand I am so unsure, should I wait and go through the public system or just find a FS?

Well that great news that there are no blockages. I would say hang in there and try a little longer. At least you have the comfort in knowing that your tubes are clear and u are O'ing despite the endo. Wishing you all the very best hun!
