hi all,
i really need to start my christmas shopping and i have no idea what to get for my 17 month old daughter. she is outgrowing all her old toys so i need some new ideas on what to get her. i dont particularly want battery powered toys as it gets too expensive and she already has lots. so any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated as im at a total loss.

thanks,
Tracey

Hi Tracey
A few ideas for you that my girl really liked:
-Little people by Fisher Price (small people figures, come with a range of playsets, vehicles etc, appropriate for kids over 1)
-Lego (we got her a set of the stuff thats between duplo and regular lego when she was 2 and are still using it and buying more now that she's 3)

If you can find someone who stocks it, there's a brand called Tolo, which encourages imaginative play. We found little doll-type figures that squeak and rattle and a small ball toy where you push balls into the top of a little maze, the balls roll down to the bottom and you start all over again (I love that one and now the 6 month old is amused by it too).

Cheers
