View Full Version : How many nappies to get as a start?
I bought 80 Dri Bot disposable nappies for new born,
and also 24 muslin cloth for folding them into nappies ( 3 plastic cover to put them in place).
I am thinking of getting the bonnibuns workhorse AIO nappies with bamboo inserts.
Should I get 5 bonnibuns or 10 bonnibuns?
I am worried that baby will outgrown them quickly or if they end up been unused and wasted. Baby's not born yet
I would go for an adjustable nappy to fit small, med and large without having to outlay more money as the child grows.
3 brands I looked at with this feature are.
My Little Ripples. $ cheapest but not nasty.
Papoose $$ never ended up buying them
GroVia $$$ would have purchased but didnt because of the price.

i much prefer sized nappies to one-size-fits-most. they always look silly on newborns and young bubs.
i never pay full price for cloth nappies, there are always sales going on (sign up to the newsletters on the nappy company websites), or you can buy second hand.
second hand work well cos you can try out a few brands to see which are your favs.

Ooooh try Pixie Poppits from New Age Nappies, they are a OSFM nappy much like the Bumgenius 4.0 but like half the price. They are $20 but she often has them on sale for around $16. She is lovely, I'm sure if u ask she will do u a good deal. I love Bumgenius, and recently got a Pixie Poppit to try.. wish I'd tried them sooner they are awesome!
Up date on the little ripples never had a leak after bubs reached 4.8 kgs. I got 20 for $77!!
