Hello

I am looking for a quilt pattern for my mum to make Bubba Number 2 a quilt. So far she has made 3 beautiful quilts for my daughter and my sister's daughters and is stuck for ideas for the next quilt.

I/we are looking for a modern quilt pattern thats boyish - with boy type things on it - maybe a Noah's Ark theme  - not a traditional type quilt. It will also double as a wallhanging.

When I am feeling not so lazy, I will post a pic of my daughter's quilt.

I am willing to pay for the pattern or be directed to a website or book I can purchase the pattern from.

Thanks in Advance :D

If you go down to your local newsagents they have the quilting magazines... im buy these every month. they have some good ideas in them and also lots of online stores advertise in them. so you could get some good patterns and find the links you need all at the same time!

Good luck!

Hi emma, I have a friend who is the quilting queen! She has loads of patterns so I'll see what I can do if you like. I'll get back to you in a few days. :)

Emma
My mum is a quilter - check out www.hotpossum.com - they have fantastic quilts of the sort you are looking for. My mum has made several for grandchildren and they are all beautiful. They are based in Perth and are very helpful.

The Chook Shed have some cute animal, farm type patterns.

Otherwise I agree about the mags, Australian Patchwork and Quilting usually has adds for some cute boys stuff. I know there was a Noah's Arks in there at some stage. I've also seen one with Diggers and Machenery.

Scrap that I've just had a look at Hot Possom, so cool!

Hi Emma!
I have spoken to my quilting friend and she recommended finding a good pattern book. Most of hers she has now gotten rid of (op shop) as she didn't wanbt to pack them to move again recently. From these posts it looks as though you have found something that will help you. Best of luck and when it is finished, you'll have to post a pic on here for us all to see!

Do show us a finished product picture! My mum is making that one for my nephew at the moment - and I love the way that different people interpret the same pattern with fabrics etc, so would love to see yours when you are done! (I have quilting envy - would love to do it myself just don't have time, energy, etc, so just spend my life lusting after fabric and other people's quilts!)
