Hey All

Just wondering whether 10 months is early to get 12 month molars, i think DS is getting his, the back of his gums are raised and sore, he's been off his food for two days and had bad vommiting and diareaha, are these all symptoms that could possibly be related to this??

Thanks

This (http://www.webmd.com/hw/health_guide_atoz/zm2755.asp) is the basic outline of when teeth come & in what order. I dont think its ever to early or late to get them, they get them when they come

Hi there,

When I read your post, it reminded me of something I read when DS got his first tooth. He was tugging his ears and rubbing gums etc, BUT I am glad I took him to the doc anyway as it turned out not only was he teething and about to cut a new tooth, but he also had 2 VERY badly infected ears  ! The pain would have been soooooo bad. I felt just so awful that I had even waited 2 days to take him. The page I went to was http://www.cyh.com/HealthTopics/HealthTopicDetails.aspx?p=114&np=301&id=1834

Hope it helps and that your litte bubba feels better soon. :hugs: It's horrible seeing them so miserable isn't it?

From the website:

Other health problems when babies are at the age that teeth come through include:

waking a lot at night
being restless and irritable in the daytime
colds or other infections can occur
they may have a temperature
they may have a rash, especially a nappy rash
they may get diarrhoea.

If your baby seems unwell, see your doctor as these are not likely to be caused by teething.

Thanks very much ladies. Well he seems to be a bit better, no diarreaha as such but loose stools as he is only getting Breastmilk, he won't take anything else at the moment. He is sleeping a lot, but not in any real pain, i hope it doesn't last too long! Poor munchkin.
