I am the proud mum of a 2 month old baby girl and have been breastfeeding exclusively since she was born and really enjoy it and the bond I have with my daughter but for various reasons the time has come when I need her to take the occassional bottle of EBM but she point blank refuses to take it and screams. Anyone got any suggestions how to successfully do this without interfering with the successful breastfeeding.
I've tried about 5 different brands of bottles at various times of the day, I've got my husband to try and I have left the room. Just dont know what to try next.
Suggestions please.
Hi there
Sorry wish I could help but can only offer my understanding. My bub is now 2 months and getting the same thing. When he was 5 weeks we had no issues but now I am trying to go back to my hobbies and the classes run into his feeding time and so needs the bottle- isn't interested. He eats maybe 50ml and then that's it no matter if it's me or hubby who offers it so end up having to feed him when I get home. I am about to try a different type of nipple in case that's why but don't hold out much hope. My paediatrician said keep at it as a baby won't starve themselves so will eventually give in but could be a long wait.

Feed her at the normal feeding time. Get a mum who uses a bottle often to show you and your baby how it's done? I say this because I remember I had the same problem when I first tried with my baby t 5 months. Turned out I was being way to timid with the bottle and I just needed to pop it in her mouth a bit more and tip it a bit higher.
