Is this normal

Hi my 3 yr old dd has a congenital lung prob and asthma. We have a good gp and she has a respiratory pead at the childrens hospital. Last time she was sick though she was admitted at our local hospital as we also have a 1 yr old now and could not do the travel to the childrens hospital. In hospital she saw the pead that was on and now she wants my daughter to see her as well. to me this seems like overkill and surely if my daughter needs to see this pead on hospital she can contact her resp pead to find out what to do?

Has anyone had something similar happen?
