AF still hasn't come to visit me since DS's birth 10 months ago! (Not that I should complain!!:p) DS is BF with one FF in the evening.

When did your AF return after birth? Was yours related giving up breastfeeding?

PS: I've tried the preggy test - no bun in the oven! :(

I got mine when DD was only 11 weeks old - and she is fully breastfed! Have only just got my second one - 3 months later.

I'm one of the unlucky ones who got it back straight away... I had the after birth bleeding.. After about 3 weeks that slowed down and then seemed to come and go...

At my 6 week checkup I had more bleeding and OB said it was probably AF... And wouldn't you know it, 28 days later it was back again... And has been every 26-27 days ever since...

i bled for around 6 weeks then around 3 1/2 weeks later I got my first period

and still not (15 mths soon) yay, i'm just off to touch some wood, don't wanna jinx myself:fingerscrossed:

edited to add, all breastfed on demand, however i seem to get it back when they decide to sleep longer at night....so it's a trade off...:rolleyes:

1st time - 5 months after birth but i bled for 3.5 months straight after delivering
2nd time - PP bleed for 5 weeks, still no period at 16 weeks... went to docs and discovered I was 4 weeks preg tho I'd never got my period back...

3rd time - PP bleed for 6 weeks...had implanon put in 3 days post partum..... 10 weeks after giving birth i spotted for 3 days and thats it :)

Thanks so much - I was beginning to wonder about old AF, but it sounds like it can take ages to return! :rolleyes:

Still haven't had it return apart from a real light one (wouldnt even even count it as one) about the 3 mth mark

I bled for 6 weeks after the birth then exactly 1 mth later I got AF back.
I was fully BF too

Apparently when breast feeding it has a lot to do with if your feeding through the night and how much they take.. DD did not sleep through until 10 mnths and ds didn't sleep through until 12 mnths so my cycle is just all over the place..
DD after 5mnths
DS he was 11 mnths old and I got my first AF skipped my second cycle and then had my 2nd AF when I was due my 3rd.. :confused: very confusing I got all the pains like I was getting it and then didn't and my mood swings are horrid at the moment!!
ARGH Don't get on my back or look out:laughing:
Just thought I would add I b/f dd until she was 13mnths and ds I am still feeding him!!
