dropping ear to shoulder... teeth?

My 8 month old DS has two (possibly 4) top teeth coming through at the moment. :eek:
He was pulling on his right ear, now he's stopped that and is dropping his left ear to his shoulder.
I'm just concerned that it's not a teeth problem, but an ear ache (infection?). When would u suggest I get a Dr to look at it? He's just getting over a cold, but if generally pretty happy (ie, doesn't seem to be in pain from it)

As soon as he starts showing signs that he's in pain i'd take him. If he starts pulling at his ear again and looks like he's in pain( babies play with their ears because they are fun sometimes) then i would just pop along for a check. Also , if anything is being secreted from his ear, any wax or liquid, or if the ear is red when he hasn't been playing with it.
I'd just keep an eye on him for now.:fingerscrossed: He's ok.
