I did realise this section of the good old Bub Hub even exsisted.

I have to admit I have been feeling a little down lately as I dont really now anyone that has the same intrests as me.
I love the idea of beeing fully (or as much as i can be) self sustained eg, vege garden to feed my samll family, chickens maybe some sheep. Although Im renting at the moment so we dont have the property space to do all we want but I do have a potted vege garden which I love.

Would love to meet some people that are like minded to talk to :cheerleader1:

I have also been toying with the idea of communal living.
As in a few people all going in together and buysing some land sectioning it off into personal land but have one big vege patch for all the familys and cattle and all thats needed to support ourselves. Then we can all pitch in and help and reep the rewards.
With the cost of living rising Im thinking this would be a great way to bring it back down.

Still just toying with that idea though :p

So is there anyone else out there like me?

Hi RM - I love the idea of being fully self sufficient(ish)... Whilst the idea of commune living is appealing in some respects, I know DH would never go for it. At the moment we're living next to great neighbours and we share and co-ordinate a lot of or vegies/ planting... We're both fairly new to the gardening caper though so our harvests are very, very modest... But as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day! :cheerleader1:
