Hi all
I only found out I had a severe case of endo a few weeks ago. I have PCOS and my FS was about to start me on clomid but thought I should have a scan. I had kissing ovaries, and had a lap and ovarian drilling last month and was told they cut out a lot of endo. I ovulated and had AF not long ago and just took clomid so hoping :fingerscrossed:. If I'm not pregnant in a few months I'll be looking at IVF.
Before endo was diagnosed, I had on a few occasions after I had stopped taking the pill experienced severe right shoulder pain during my period, at one point so bad that I had to sleep sitting up in a recliner because when I laid down flat every breath was painful. Hot water bottle on my stomach, wheatbag on my shoulder. I saw my GP and he couldn't explain it and said it was probably an extreme case of referred pain. I also get a non-itchy, but very pink rash on my chest each month with he also couldn't explain. In the end he gave me voltaren which did nothing.
Since my op my stomach felt fine while I had AF, but I got shoulder (not as agonising but still not great, and googled 'right shoulder pain endometriosis' (I know the internet isn't a Dr but.....you know). The symptoms for diaphramatic endometriosis (rare) fit me completely down to specific details, and I don't think they looked there for the horrible stuff! So my question is does anyone else experience the shoulder pain I am describing and had it treated?
