I've been thinking about that too... Can't see why not, though tomatoes are very acidic and might be a bit harsh on bubs bottom so I'm thinking I will put them in with his veg for a bit first. If you do try it let me know how it goes!

I havent tried my bub on tomatoes yet. But she loves pasta!!
I chop it up into little bits and mix it in with her vegies. I also give her whole pieces of cooked pasta to feed herself as a snack - she loves it! :p

I gave my ds pasta & toms early on. Have you got a stick blender? I find them great for when bub has the same dinner as us. I can easily blend up bubs without having to get the big blender out. i think they're pretty cheap too.

I tried mashed up beetroot today. Seemed to be a winner. Might be a hit with other bubs too.

I have a seven month old son and this week I made up a chicken, vegetable and risone mixture. I also did some chicken, pumpkin and cous cous. Big hits!!

My DS loved this recipe

Small tin of tuna
Small tin of creamed corn
Small handfull of cooked risoni
1 tomato, finely chopped
Put all ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over low-med heat until tomato is tender. Serve warm with a little grated cheese.

I found this recipe in a magazine, can't remember which one tho. I was making this for DS from about 7 or 8 mths old. It makes 2-4 serves, depending on bubs appetite, but you can freeze it.
If i didn't have risoni, i used all the tiny broken bits of pasta that you always seem to get at the bottom of the packet.
Cooking tomatos seems to reduce the acidity of them, so that shouldn't be a problem.
