I luff them!!! People say they take a long time to dry, but I haven't had any iss-ewes..
Is there a specific brand you are talking about or do you mean bamboo fabric nappies?
I've got some Bamboozles and some bamboo boosters. I love the silky soft feel of them and don't find drying time to be an issue (unless it's been raining for several days like it has been lately) because of the current dry weather and the fact that I have a huge stash. I would choose them over hemp any day because they also don't have the wet hemp smell and also don't get the stretched look over time.
I'm waiting on a BBH bamboo, can't wait- you know how it is!
But I do have bamboo squares I use for night inserts and they're beautiful, feel so soft and silky- and the main thing- they work well too.

i have a bamoozle and have just made some trifold/boosters for new bub
i have issues with the drying time too, but they are lovely and soft and dont get that hemp wee smell.
highly recomended
I LOVE MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!! (oops should I say Jessica's). I got them from Baby Beehinds and they so lovely and soft and very absorbant. I have used them both as a night nappy and a day nappy. As a night nappy i put in an extra insert and a cover (Jess sleeps for about 10 hours a night) but as a day nappy i just put in an extra insert and it works well. I have just ordered more Baby Beehinds One-size and they should be ariving either tomorrow or friday.

The ppl who use the bamboo (or hemp for that fact) with a newborn, do you put a cover on them or do you find that by themself is fine as they don't actually wet right through before they poo in it? (if that makes sense)

Sorry Charmzy you might have to wait till tomorrow night to use it as i it does take a longer time to dry and i washed the nappy 5 times (for absorbancy) before putting them out to dry. I

I found we still needed a cover because DS would still get a wet patch upfront but he was a super wetter though (this was with hemp nappies). If you had a lighter wetter, you could probably get away with no cover. For comparison, DS could outwet a Huggies newborn size in under 2 hours and totally drench a flat terry with one wee.

oh and nappies are on 4th or 5th wash now cant remember.. but ill be doing 7/8 wash cycles like i always do :D
I found the bamboo nappies didn't need as many washes as hemp to become fully absorbant - if that helps you any Charmzy

Same here!!! Bamboo's are the best - I love them!!!
I have 2 baby beehinds on order, the bamboo ones. I didn't buy the covers though, do you think I will need them? Do you need a cover with bamboo nappies????
I have 3 BBB on order and can't wait to get them and I'm months off even having a baby to try them on  I am holding off washing them and will do that a few weeks before Bean is due cos it'll be the middle of summer by then and they'll dry super fast. Can't wait to have a clothes line full of cloth nappies
I am like you V&M, I can wait to use them, but I don't have as long as you to wait... only 2 weeks to go :smiliedance: (but, it's going soooo slow)... at least it means I am not as impatient as others to get my BBB's...
DramaQueen, from what I have read, I think yes, you will need covers (unless its summer and with nappy only!)

If you don't want wet clothes, yes you are going to need a cover. However if you want to let bub run around with just a nappy and shirt on why bother you can tell when the nappy is wet and just change it;)
Oh soft soft bamboo! We have BabyBeehind bamboo, bamboozle (Tots Bots) and a bamboo flat plus a bamboo booster. So so soft! I am planning to get more....
