Hey,

I was just thinking it would be nice to chat to some people who are still going strong after 12mths. My DD is 19mths and I'm pregnant with my third. She doesn't seem to be weaning anytime soon and were still feeding about 3-4 times a day, she's just started sleeping straight thru the night but knows her booba is there if she needs it... I'm so glad we recently moved interstate as I know my hubby's family would disagree with the whole tandem feeding, my b!tchy prude SIL would die if I told her I was still feeding past 1! Pathetic! Least my child doesn't have an imaginary cows milk allergy! Psycho! Ok enough enough...

Nice to meet you

:hugs: my stoopid inlaws wanted Jasper on formula from 6 WEEKS. From 6 months they were getting uncomfortable. I don't know what they think now. I don't care. They do ask me every time we saw them if I'd weaned yet. Jasper is 27 months now, still breast feeding and we moved interstate too :p

DS2 is 25 months and as obsessed as ever with BFing! I'm pregnant with number 4 and don't see him stopping anytime soon so might end up tandem feeding. We get asked a lot by family if we're still feeding lol he's that crazy about it there's no way we could take it from him.

My DD is nearly 19 months and still feeding like a champ! We got off to a very rough start with feeding, took a long time to get it established so whenever some 'helpful' person asks when I'm planning on weaning I tell them whenever she's ready. Most of the rellies have been okay, they know how hard I worked to get her feeding properly. There are a few though that need a light slap :)

I'm almost ready to join you, DD will be one in a few weeks:D everyone is now asking me whether she is starting to self wean. I just give them a funny look and tell them we still have a few years to go at least! She is a booby monster and her diet is about 90% breastmilk still. We both love it and see no reason to stop anytime soon.

Thanks for this thread, Shinebrite :)

DD is 14 months and still going strong.

I've no idea when we're going to stop but at the moment I'm happy to keep feeding till she's ready to stop.

I never knew if i'd be able to BF at all due to a medical condition. I can but only from the left side so that has spurred alot of my determination.

I was just going to go until 6 months but then decided Id see if we could make it to a year and now we have and Im just not ready to give up and neither is DD. She loves it.

Still has at least 3-4 feeds a day as well as snack feeds if she wants them.

Ive been getting the "when are you going to wean" questions but I dont see why I should take it away from her when we both enjoy it so much and the health benefits for both of us are fantastic.

I fed DD2 a complete boobie diet until 1 she hated solids!!! Except gluten free French toast with organic maple syrup! it's her face breakfast still!

Awe she's still a bubba! I know 5 year olds with a dummy or bottle... I class it as the same kind of thing! I have 2 friends 1 bottle fed 1 BF they both continued until their bubs were 4-5 but they both b!tched about how wrong the other was

Hi shinebrite! My DD was born 19/08/09 so she's not 19 months yet - but she will be in 9 days. Whereabouts in Adelaide are you? I'm in Lockleys. We go to a couple of library playgroups and a prem playgroup. I LOVE the library playgroups and so does DD. One of the ones we go to is HUGE - there's often around 30 other toddlers there!
