We moved to Oz for the way off life, the outdoors, relaxed atmosphere...beautiful beaches ect and for DH as he had a very stressfull job in the uk....that was our dream

Our nightmare is that its all going wrong..:gloomy: we are on a 4year visa with DH work...hope to get a perm one soon .his job in sales running melbourne patch is a nightmare...hes more stressed here that he was in england:thumbsdown:, and is under constant pressure....which in turn put pressure onto me because i love him and care about him.

what makes it harder is i am very homesick at the moment so everything feels horrible

I am beginging to think that chasing the Aussie dream may have been one big mistake, but packing up not that easy either...we have a house and it would cost us big to get back home .

sorry for the :ecomcity: but i needed to get that out:(

I guess sometimes it feels like our dreams become shattered, and I think that maybe we sometimes have too many expectations.

I am sorry that your dream is not working out for you.

Have you thought about moving to another state? I say this because Melbourne is cold and wet (especially in winter!) and there are heaps of other places that may provide you what you are looking for. Australia is a huge country and there are plenty of places to explore too! Then again, I am pretty biased. I love the place!

Anyway, I hope things get better for you! It sucks when your dreams become nightmares. I am crossing everything for you. By the way, I am in Perth - the best city in the world. Hahaha!

Golly, been there and done that. Felt the same and you know what we decided to do.

same sh!t, different climate. as soon as i realised that...the decision was easy.

check out my post in the "would you move....." section and you will get an idea of costs to come back.

its still hard coming home again but at least we have the family support and that makes al the difference emotionally to me especially (being the oh so preggers one!!!).

I feel for you babe. if you want to pm me, then feel free. :hugs:
