you say you 'may' need to so I assume you are seeking some kind of help through your GP, gyno or fertility specialist?
If so they will tell you before you start when to take it and how much. THe dosage and what cycle days you take it depend on each individual. For instance I take 50mg on days 5-9 of my cycle (day 1 being the first day of AF).
THe actual Clomid tablets cost me $33 I think and that, on my 50mg dose lasts me 2 months. However my first cycle and this 2nd one have been closely monitored (which i recommend at first at least) and this may cost more. I go to a top fertility clinic in SA and it costs me about $300 out of pocket for them to do bloods every few days during the mid-end of my cycle (i am on day 8 today and having my first blood this cycle tomorrow), they also did an internal scan to see the mature folicle just before ovulation also. Not everyone will be this expensive, some may not charge at all, Medicare will pick up the blood test costs.
i believe (someone correct me if im wrong) it works by tricking your body to producing more Estrogen so it kick starts the production off a mature folicle.

Thankyou so much for all that info:)
And a BIG good luck to you, i hope this is your month!
oh and yep im going though my GP. Ever since having my son my periods have been all over the place so i went for a check up at my local GP and he took a lot of details off me and decided to give me a ultra sound (which is tomorra) he seems to think it may be PCOS. So i will find out tomorrow and if that is the case then i'd like to start on Clomid as soon as i can.
Thankyou heaps once again:)
