I am starting the weaning process with my 5 month old, and I was wanting to keep going with the first morning feed for as long as she will have it, but I'm scared that when she's having mostly bottles, that she might reject me. I was wondering if anyone has had their baby on one feed per day and how long they could keep it up for. I would really love to be able to do it until she is about one year. I tried to do this with my first baby, but once he was having bottles, that's all he wanted, and weaning took one week. This time I am really trying to wean gradually and drop one feed per week. Can anyone give me any suggestions?:)

If her dad or nana or the day care lady will be giving her the bottles, there's a lot less chance that she'll reject you. But if I was you, I'd be prepared that she might refuse the breast. Bottles are much easier for a baby - as in, the milk is instantly there, and doesn't need that initial couple of sucks to stimulate the let-down. But, lots of babies don't mind someone else bottle-feeding them, but mum still breastfeeding.
