I gave myself my first Lucrin injection this morning!

I sat there with the needle in my hand, pinching my tummy. Hesitated for a few seconds. Then said aloud "Just bloody do it". Then I did.

It was surprisingly easy. I wouldn't like to do it everyday, for a long term, but I think I can handle it.

I'm so proud of myself. I phoned C straight away and she seemed pretty happy. I'm actually curious to see how I go tomorrow morning!

put a little ice cube on your tum first and hold it there for about a min and then you won't feel a thing

remember to change the areas you inject so you don't irritate one area

and well done

Okay I know this is silly but what is Lucrin?

I inject 2 times a day .. but mine is insulin.. lol

Im guessing lucrin is something to do with fertility?

Yes. Lucrin is what we crazy Egg Donors have to inject daily.

Unfortunately for me, I am suffering from hot flushes and INSOMNIA :banghead:
and simply cannot get to sleep.

And...my heart is racing like a horse.

I hope that this improves.

Crazy but wonderful donors Angeldoula! Congrats on getting underway and over the injection hurdle...the first one is always weird.

princ3ssah - Lucrin is a drug that is used in the "down regulating" part of IVF cycles (some similar drugs are inhaled like Synarel). Basically it flatlines your own hormones, so that they can then be controlled and replaced in a way that produces the desired amount of eggs to mature prior to collection. It's complicated if you're not familiar with IVF. Some of the drugs used in IVF are delivered via a pen similar to those that diabetics use, so we do have some understanding of what you have to deal with.

Angeldoula...I always find the down-regging part the worst and usually feel headachey, tetchy and dry...it's not fun. As soon as I start stimming I usually feel much better though, so I hope that's the case for you too. When do you begin stims?

I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines...good luck! :smiliedance: :smiliedance:
