Buddhist Baby Blessing

Calling all Buddhists/those who know about Buddhism (ie Alicesmum where are you? :D)

I am really interested in having a Buddhist Baby Blessing for Annabelle this coming October. I am not Buddhist, but have an interest in Buddhism as a philosophy and practice.

Is it disrespectful to want to have a Buddhist baby blessing without being Buddhist? I don't want it to seem like I'm just trying to be new-agey iykwim. :rolleyes:

And how do I go about organising it? I'm in Sydney. Does anyone know of a nice temple or Buddhist organisation I should contact? I have some lists from the net, but just wondering if anyone has personal experience they can pass on.

Aahh.. thank you Funky Chicken! :) And thanks for dragging out that old thread. I knew I'd had this conversation aaages ago. I will go back to some of that info Alicesmum gave me and look up a couple of those temples. :thumbsup:
