View Full Version : tender feet
My feet are NOT swollen, but if I walk for more than 10 min, my feet get very tender as if I am walking on glass.
I have tried innersoles, but they only helped slightly.
Sometimes I wake up with sore feet during the night, when I have not been walking.
The Dr said to try swimming for exercise instead, but it is not practical.
I am 32 weeks, any suggestions?

Not really, sorry however, i do think it's a good excuse for you to put your feet up!! :D
Good luck, not long to go now!!
do they feel itchy?
If they do, do you feel similar in your palms? or itchy in general?
Nope, not itchy, but last night they started hurting in bed, and I haven't been doing any walking, so it must be a circulation thing.
Last night it was stabbing pains in my left one (I sleep on my left, bub doesn't like me sleeping on my right side) and it still hurts! :(
Perhaps I should try maternity tights?
Hi Debz
Two things I would think about. First, have you had your blood sugar levels checked? Often, when women develop gestational diabetes they display signs and symptoms of non pregnant diabetes.
Second, if it is simply a circulation issue, you may find that you are starting to retain more fluid (JOY). The worst thing you can do for that is still still and do nothing. Having said that, don't go overboard with activity levels. Maybe try soaking them in warm water and do some simple range of movement exercises and stretching your calf muscles.
Also, try drinking lots of water (which I am sure oyu already do), as this helps to alleviate fluid retention.
I hope it gets better soon. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Keep us all posted!
Cheers
Leanne
Why don't you buy a foot spa. My hubby bought me one and having it massage my feet at the end of the day in water was just bliss. It won't help when walking but it will help ease the aches.
