I'm 8w6d pregnant and so sick. All yesterday and today I have been unable to keep any food down and am sick in bed, unable to look after DS properly. He's 4 so he can manage the toilet by himself but it's hard to prepare him food when standing up induces vomiting and gagging :(
I've texted my sister to see if she can pop over to help with DS, hopefully she can.
If I want maxalon, can somebody else get it for me at the chemist? Or do I have to drag my butt to the dr for a script?
Ugh, so sick :(
You need a script. But my Brother has taken my script to get filled before so im sure someone can go to the chemist for you.
:hugs: I know how you are feeling. I hope it passes soon.

Oh yuck, you poor, poor thing.
Yes, I think you do need a script unfortunately.
I hope your sister can come and help you out very soon, there is nothing worse.
:hugs: Not nice
I hope your sister is able to come and help you. I spent the first 15 weeks of my pregnancy parenting from the daybed couch in our lounge room. DD1 got crackers and bananas chucked her way when she said she was hungry. It was the best I could manage. Not to mention the endless TV the poor thing watched :(
I hope your morning sickness passes soon :hugs:
I got maxalon over the counter last time but it gives me hives so can't take much ,there is also Stemetil which is prescription which works ok. There is a homeopathic one you can get on the web called vomitil I think and thats supposed to be good for nausea too.
If you do need a script you might be able to call your doctor and get one over the phone ,some surgerys do this , they just charge a fee for the script.

thanks everyone. My sister will be here in about an hour. Talked to a pharmacist locally and he said it's possible for my dr to ring through a script, and for someone to pick it up for me.
Mum said she will come tomorrow and look after DS which will be a huge help.
This sucks, I hate morning sickness :( Barely got it with DS. Maybe this one is a girl?

update: mum is coming here to pick up DS and take him home with her for the night and will drop him off at my ex's at 6pm tomorrow. I love my mum :goodvibes:
That's great!! Gives you the time to just wallow in bed and :barf:when you need to :hugs: I hope the maxalon helps!

I hope it helps too. Oh, and the pharmacist said he could even drop off the maxalon if need be (how great is that!). Just gotta hear back from the Dr now.
Had to hang up from mum just before to vomit up bile... eww! Poor DS, I'm so useless right now :(
On a positive note, I told DS about the baby. He looked so worried yesterday when I was vomiting, I felt it was time he knew that there was a very special reason for me being so sick.

I had severe morning sickness when pregnant with both my kids. The first time i was prescribed Maxolon which knocked me out completely. Obviously i couldn't take it when pregnant the second time because i had DS2 to look after. My doc prescribed me Zofran which worked exceptionally well and didn't make me tired at all. The only downside was that it was quite expensive (about $80.00 for ten tablets - half a tablet worked for me though).
:goodluck:
The midwives recommended it to me as well.. So maybe worth looking at?
Morning sickness is awful!!!! I hope you feel better soon!
