View Full Version : First Aid Course
Hi. I have a 5 1/2mth old and was looking at doing some sort of first aid course as I realised I don't know CPR! From what I have been looking at these are not very cheap. Does anyone know somewhere I could do a first aid course (just basics) without it costing me a fortune. In the end I am going to have to do one for the safety of my little boy but money is an issue. I found one that does a seminar in your own home but you need a min of 5 people and it works out cheaper ($35 per person as opposed to about $100 to go to a workshop). If anyone is interested in maybe doing a seminar let me know.
Thanks

Hi
I have level 2 first aid as need it for work. I did mine through the ambulance place in mitcham, near coles along whitehorse road. I can totally recommend them, they were friendly, warm and with heaps of support and information.

You can do the 'Caring for Kids' course through the Red Cross or St John (sorry not sure) which teaches what to do for children. Not sure on cost but I did a course one night a week for three weeks.
I would ring around and see what kind of children's courses are around.
Also if you organise a group of people you can get the instructor to come to your house or someone elses house and maybe that might be cheaper as well.
Good luck
