successful ivfers!pls answer!

Hi ladies, I'm trying not to overanalyse everything and failing miserably. I'm 6dp5dt and yday and today I've had this horrible constant lower back ache. Dull and achey, I generally feel unwell also, did any of you have this on your successful cycle or do you think I am out for the count?did u have this on ur unsuccessful cycle? I hate this part so much! Any replies even negative ones will be welcome!thanks!

It's a really hard thing to analyse, seems everyone and every cycle varies but my personal experience was with my first IVF cycle I had pain from the day of collection all the way through to AF. On the second cycle I felt fine until around 12DPO and then started getting lower back pain and mild cramps that lasted a couple of days with spotting and I was sure it was over, only to find I was pregnant.

Unfortunately until the BT it's really hard to tell but I hope this is the one for you :fingerscrossed:

Hi Luvmybub08,

As the other girls have said it is hard to tell what is a symptom of pregnancy, symptom of the IVF drugs and procedures, or simply AF on its way.
Im guessing though from your description that these back aches arent a typical AF symptom for you so thats got to be a good start!!
With my current pregnancy (Natural FET) i definitely had lower back ache (well actually it was right at the tops of my butt cheeks). It ached so much that it woke me up at night. Luckily it only lasted a few days :) It was exactly as you described....dull and achey.
I really hope that for you this is a positive sign :) Have you considered POAS?

TNT-where abouts was the pain u got during neg cycles? And what days did u start getting it?

nikki-wow, no wonder u thought it was over!I would have too! Can u tell me where ur back pain was exactly?

Illusion-tbh I actually have had this pain during af in the past, only recent cycles though (clomid cycles); but the pain is quite a lot higher than u describe - as for POAS no I really don't want to. If its bfn I know ill still hope its just late implanter or something and ill just be miserable for longer ; if its bfp ill start worrying about a chem preg, so either way I'd be more tortured than I am now

Both BFP's I've felt like AF was coming, only it didn't. All BFN's I've felt like AF was coming and it did. :rolleyes: Just gotta wait.

Let us know when you cave and POAS ;)

luvmybub08 - It was over a year ago but from memory it pretty much felt like dull AF pains but more constant and a bit annoying, so it was lower back and upper thighs.

My long awaited bfp cycle I felt absolutely nothing...not even af pains nothing ....
I hope it's a bfp for you :)

I can only say don't over analyse it. I felt so many wierd things because of the drugs and i think everyone reacts slightly differently.

my hcg was 127 at 11dp5dt...can you tell me if this is really low?

Sounds fine to me!!!mine was 207 at 16dp3dt on my first ever icsi fresh transfer. I'm now 21+5 days preggy and daughter number 2 is expected onJuly 4th!!:-)
