View Full Version : When were your symptoms at their worst?
I'm 8 weeks now and suffering from nausea, exhaustion and mood swings and it's driving me nuts. I have my good moments, but I'm struggling.
I vaguely remember this was about the worst time for my symptoms last pregnancy, but maybe it was at 6 weeks or maybe at 10. I'm not really sure.
So, for you when were the symptoms at their worst? And when did you start to actually feel better? Was 12 weeks a big turning point for you in terms of symptoms? I know all these symptoms can last all pregnancy, but hopefully not as bad as they are for me right now.

I think I'm due the same day as you, and I'm the same, so far it's the worst I've felt. Threw up this morning, and if I don't eat every 2 hours I feel the nausea returning. With DS I had it MUCH milder, never threw up and all that was well and truly over by 14 weeks. I hope I feel better by 12 weeks with this one (earlier would be even better!). I don't have so much fatigue though, just the nausea really.

Mine started at 8 weeks and I wouldn't say its completely gone now at 15 weeks but it had certainly made doing everyday jobs alot easier, as for mood swings I think that will stay til the end..
Mine must have been from about 7 weeks until 10 weeks. I was practically bedridden and only dragged myself out to go to work because I am trying to save my sick days and holidays until I really need them.
I am actually just starting to be able to function now at 11 weeks. Its making me feel less pregnant though. I only identify feeling pregnant with feeling sick at the moment. :(

It's totally normal for the sickness to ease now....enjoy it!! In no time at all you'll have a little baby bump :goodvibes: I so look forward to the sickness going away, especially with a 4 year old to care for.
My ms started at 5 weeks this time around, but was at it absolute worst at about 7 or 8 weeks. I still had it til about 20 weeks and even now i get moments.
My morning sickness and exhaustion eased at 12 weeks.
However, I then started getting sinus congestion and headaches up until about 20 weeks.
Then when that started to ease I started getting bad reflux (including vomiting in my sleep :() and all day nausea. That's been fairly bad for the past 6 weeks or so (I'm 27 weeks now). I *think* it is starting to subside now I'm on drugs from my obs, although I still can't eat anything at night.
So for me, it's been a case of as one thing starts to ease, another appears in its place! I am completely unconvinced about the "joy" of pregnancy.
Definitely between 7 and 10 weeks for both my pregnancies... I only ever vomited a few times, but that definitely occurred during this time period and I felt nauseous all day every day. After 10 weeks it all subsided and I had basically no issues - I didn't even feel pregnant until I could actually feel bubs moving around. I have had it pretty good through both my pregnancies, so I'm lucky. :yelclap:
