nail biting

argh! i cant stand nail biting, my almost 3yr old constantly bites her nails, even to the point where she makes the skin bleed. disgusting! i think she may have picked up the habit from kindy, as none of the family bite our nails.


any ideas on how i can stop her doing this? aside from putting chillis on her nails :o

u can get some nail polish that is used for that reason my sis using it and she said it tastes gross so she doesnt do it anymore

yeah. i tried that but it didnt work for me, you end up getting used to the taste lol. and you have to rememeber to put it on!!:banghead:

they were talkin about this on sunrise not long ago, someone suggested wasabi!! lol perhaps i should try that!!:barf:

my mum used onions on my nails about 4 times a day - it worked for about a year when i was 4 but i hate to say i still bite my nails now - i have to wear falsies or i just chomp and chomp and chomp... i hate it but can't seem to stop without something physically keeping me away :banghead:

I stopped as soon as someone told me biting your nails is so unhealthy that it is actually worse than eating a cockroach...

:barf: thats gross. ive tried the nail polish stuff to no avail. oninons? havent tried that one, but she likes to eat onions:o
