hi everyone, i was just wondering if anyone knew what kind of support services are in perth preferably south of the river for people with young babies who have a disability.

my brother has a 9 month old who has cerebral palasy, and also looks like he has autism and will also be getting his sight tested next week as they also think he has vision problems.

its just me and my brother in perth and although i have offered watch their son and older son numerous times so they can have a break, my sil doesnt feel that comfortable as i have two kids under two and my nephew needs alot of attention (although i have assured her that i would put him first, she still is hesistant which is completely understandable)

so other than the cerebal palsy place does anyone else know of anywhere that offers respite care, or where people go to their house and help them.

any advice is greatly appreciated

thanks

aimee I am not from Perth but http://www9.health.gov.au/ccsd/ this is the commonwealth carers respite link website they will be able to put you in touch with someone who can help you.
Best of luck. I have a son with special needs and I don't have anyone else mind him as I know the work involved and feel awkward accepting the support. good luck to your family!!!!!
