Hi!
After 2 years of fertility treatment including laproscopy, chlomid, metformin, puregon etc etc, DH and I concieved via IVM (InVitro Maturation), our precious son was born in August 2010.

We are now looking at TTC #2. I have one embryo frozen in Perth. We are now living in NSW and are considering having the embryo transported to us after undergoing all necessary preparation procedures rather than undergoing the whole IVF process again.

I was wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation regarding embryo transfer or if there are any recommendations for clinics in the Illawarra region?

I would love to hear your stories and experiences! :)

We had our one emby transferred from Bris to Cairns. It didn't even cost us anything but it was the same clinic, just different branches. We just had to fill out a consent form. It all seemed rather easy.

oops ETA I do realise Bris to Cairns isn't interstate (despite it feeling like it LOL) but nevertheless it's still embryo transportation....

I haven't quite been through as much as you, but I can appreciate not wanting to go through it all again if you can help it.

There is definitely an IVF clinic in the Illawarra. I'd contact them and talk to them about what you'd like to do. I'm sure you wouldn't be the first to need to transport embryo(s).

I noticed our IVF clinic does monitoring in preparation for embryo insertion at another location. I guess another option for you might be to have the monitoring done in the Illawarra, then when you're ready to go, fly to Perth for the transfer...maybe?

Good luck!!
