Hey there,
Recently I've been getting really hot flushes and then getting really dizzy as if I'm about to faint. I drink lots and I feel absolutelly fine before hand. Sometimes it happens when i'm just sitting down and I go out side to get some fresh air, which sometimes helps. Has any one alse had this? Should I be concerned. I called my midwife and just waiting for her call back.

Thanks ladies.

Are you eating regularly? I got this a few times with my last pregnancy, I had GD and was being very careful about what I ate and when and if I was late having a meal I would get very dizzy.

I had a big brekkie this morning about 8.30 and it happened at about 9.30. I was definatelly not hungry and i managed to drink my first litre of water for the day as well.

How has your blood pressure been? If it's up a bit that could be a sign. It might be your body telling you to slow down and take it easy?
:hugs:

I was kind of hoping this wasnt the case. I was intending on continuing work as much as i could, but i think the girls at work have noticed i havent been myself aswell lately. It also happened yesterday while hubby was driving to go to the shops, we had to pull over and i got out cos i couldnt handle it. I just hope this isnt putting my baby in stress. I really dont know what to do now, work wise.

Do you have a job where you can be sitting down? I would probably try and stay off your feet as much as you can.

I do office work so 90% of the time i'm sitting down. But this morning i was sitting when i got the hot flush and i thought i was just going to faint.

I hope your midwife can shed some light on it for you. Do you get little spots like tiny lights in front of you eyes when you feel like that?
I had high blood pressure on my first pregnancy and that was what my doctor told me to look out for.

I had this with both my DD, it was due to low blood pressure. To alleviate it i would lay down on my left side for a bit and this helped heaps.
My iron levels were borderline too.

I would say if your midwife doesn't called you back soon, I would call her again, or call your GP if you can't get on to your midwife.
I'm going to have to go because one of my ratbags has woken up. But if you need to chat feel free to pm me.
I hope everything is ok. But make sure you get to talk to someone today. Especially if you've felt like this for a few days.
:hugs:
I'll be thinking of you!

I'd be thinking either low iron levels which causes dizziness or blood pressure issues - I had both but everything turned out fine in the end!

I hope everything's ok.
