Hello,
My niece turns 1 next Wednesday, and I'd like to make a donation to some kind of foundation which supports Neo-natal intensive care units on her behalf for part of her birthday present as she was born at 32 weeks gestation (just 1.98kg!). The NICU at Nepean Hospital (Penrith, NSW) were FANTASTIC with her care and supporting and teaching my sister and brother-in-law how to care for not only their first baby, but a premmie baby.
Thankfully she is a beautiful, healthy, smart little girl now, and I'd like to help the NICU to support other parents going through what my sister and her husband went through this time last year.
I'm looking for a foundation/charity to donate to, I've seen the Bonnie Babes Foundation and a few others, but wanted to know if anyone knows any where all donations (or all donations minus admin costs) goes to NICUs, for things such as purchasing new equipment or training staff... as I think the special care little Abby got has definitely been a huge factor in her being as perfect as she is (she had a pediatrician appointment last week and has met all of the developmental milestones of her 'corrected age' which is 10 months, and has even exceeded some of them - proud Aunty here!).
Hoping someone can help me,
Jessica
