Can you recommend books on raising boys/girls?

I'm after recommendations on the 'raising boys' / 'bringing up girls' type of books (I have a boy and girl so am interested in both) as there seem to be a few around.

Also are they really worth the read or are they just full of gender generalizations that just don't suit?

I agree with Faithy.

I have 2 DD's and found Raising Girls by Gisela Preuschoff very informative. My sister has 3 boys and bought Raising Boys by Steve Bidoulph and also really liked it.
