Eczema, Migranes and Asthma

Ok this freaked me today as my girlfriend told me that babies that suffer Eczema either suffer migranes or asthma later in life.
My daughter has Eczema and so did I when I was young (also the egg allergy) and I can say I had migranes up until I was pregnant and haven't had one since (touch wood!)
Has anyone else heard this myth or is it fact?

My sister had it as a baby - and still suffers in patches... she doesnt have asthma or migraines.. I also know quite a few other people who havent suffered them.

I on the other hand - dont get it - but have asthma and migraines lol.
(my son also has asthma but no eczema or migraines)

My daughter has it - so will be interesting to see if she gets the asthma and migraines.. although Im guessing if she does it will be moreso hereditary than anything else.

I have eczema and migraines.
DD#1 (15) has migraines and no eczema.
DD#2 (5) has eczema, no migraines (yet).
DS (8 months) has eczema

None of us have asthma, and DH is apparently exempt from all of it.

I have bad eczema and my little brother has asthma . . . I have known to have an inhaler on occassion but its rare and only every few years .

I had heard that those suffering eczema are more inclined to suffer asthma and vice versa . .

My Dad was an extremely bad asthmatic as a child, and he also has a nut allergy. And is a massive sneezer.
My brother has always had eczema. Even now as a 28 year old he goes through masses of Celestone M.
I suffer migraines, and once had an asthma attack.
I'd say there's a link, and a hereditary one at that!

my dd has all three, so does my dad and sis.

i have asthma and hayfever.

now ds has eczema.

Me too.
My boy had eczema from a year old, now he also has asthma and hayfever.
Also has allergies.
I can imagine he may suffer from migraines latere on because he does have anxiety which may be related. He gets stressed easily and is very sensitive.

I have asthma, hayfever & migranes (haven't had one since falling pg touch wood). DH had asthma as a kid and my DS has started getting eczema but I'm hoping he doesn't get any of the others.

Yep the big three is asthma, ezcema and hayfever. I get all three plus migraines. Yah for me :gloomy:

no idea if my brother has eczema as a kid, but he does suffer migranes and asthma, I'll have to ask my dad to see if he remembers.

yes these things are related, but it doesnt mean your child will automatically get them so dont stress too much about it:)

me- born with eczema, developed asthma at 16mths, have hayfever and migraines.

dh- had childhood eczema but nothing else

ds- born with eczema, has allergies and displays symptoms like asthma due to his allergic rhinitis

dd- shes due to arrive next year so im hoping she'll be free of everything lol wishful thinking?! maybe:p

Well my mother and brother suffer from asthama, yet i do not, BUT i do suffer bad migraines and lovely hayfever :banghead:

I had eczemz as a baby, even know in the winter I get slight flare ups on the insides of my elbows... no asthma, allergies, hayfever for me.. migraines.. well I never got them up until 5 years ago

DS#1 has the lot. (well, no headaches as yet, hes 14)
