I was wondering whether anyone has had any dealings with the Dore Centre organisation. If anyone has I was wondering whether the results were what you expected. I have spoke to them and they are sending me out some more information any info anyone has would be appreciated.

I posted about this a few weeks ago in the Special Needs section. I got no replies whatsoever.

My DD has Asperger's, and we called The Dore Centre in desperation. All we got was a Sales Rep asking has to fork out $5000 (oh but you can pay in installments:D )

The Sales Rep was so aggressive, and persistent that my DH had to call Head Office and ask then to stop calling.

The fact that they approach clients in such a manner had us running the other way. Our Psychologist, who is Autism NSW, does not belive that it works. She sees hundreds of children, and none of them have benefited.

Good Luck :fingerscrossed:

I found it hard to get them to stop calling as well. I didn't have to go as far as head office though...

I asked the same question of our Paediatrician as my DD has ADHD and he said that there hasn't been enough research to show it works and unfortunately I don't have that kind of money to pay "just in case" it works.

I would also like to hear from other parents who have tried the program.

Thanks for the replies, I found the guy on the phone just started talking and didn't really stop asked some questions and said so far DS seems to qualify for the program. Said we would have to go in every 7 weeks to be re assessed when I said we are at least 3 1/2 hours away the reply was you want whats best for your son. They said they were sending out a DVD and questionnaire when I bought up the cost they said they would explain when we went in for the first consulation.

Thanks again for the help we have an appointment with a Paed. in about 5 weeks will see how that goes.
