Ovulation Question

Hi everybody,

This may sound like a really silly question but just wondering how many days before ovulation is it still possible to fall pg? I have only just gone off the pill and guessing that i have a 28 day cycle i'm guessing i should ovulate tomorrow. Although have had a fair bit of CM today (maybe a little stretchy). I've also had a few niggles in lower belly, on both sides, could this be O pain?? But if BD'd last night is there still a chance of falling?? Considering we were suppose to wait a few months to start TTC, but well DF kinda forgot!! Sorry if this sounds so stupid, i just never really paid any attention to it before, as when i fell with my son, i went off the pill to allow the pigmentation in my face to clear up, and DF and I had just decided that if it happens it happens. And well about 7 months later i found out i was approx 5 weeks preg!! Thank you in advance for shedding some light onto this for me!

Hi Kasey :) Sperm can survive in fertile cm for up to 5 days - and if you bd the days leading up to "o" you have a better chance of conceiving - but the eggie only lives for around 12 hours when you ovulate. Good luck ;)

Thanks for the response. I thought that's how it was, just was unsure of how long the sperm actually survived for!!! I'm a bit clueless when it comes to all this! Well i'm sure we'll see at the end of the month! Thanks. Good luck to you TTC too! :)
