Hi ladies
Just wondering what everyone else does with their bubs under 12 months old? Monkey mania and places like that don't really seem appropriate for children under 1.
Any ideas ladies :)

I haven't really done much here since I arrived unfortunately.
But there is things I'd like to do that is baby friendly...
Top one being visit the National Zoo & Aquarium. I think it would be a great day out.
I gather though that you mean on a general day to day basis?
I'd say one of the local pools does toddler swimming lessons.
Then there is play groups or kindagym in your area.
And another thing I saw, something called GymaROO which cater for babies from 6 weeks. It actually looks really good.

Hope this helps

Two suggestions given to me by a local who attends, ( i am yet to try them as my bub is 4 months and i am just getting in the headspace for "going out"...)
one is YMCA physi kids and the other is paint and play. here are links to both of those. i was thinking i might try the YMCA one soon

Hello!

We find the paint and play sessions are really fun and FREE. I take my 2.5yr-old and 1yr-old. There seem to be sessions held all over Canberra:

Also, MiniQ at Questacon is great fun for bubs, but not cheap. If you're going to be in Canberra for a while, probably worth getting a family membership to Questacon.

The NGA also have mum and bub sessions if you're into art. And most libraries have either a Giggle and Wiggle session or storytime session.

All the best
