Hi Everyone

My Mum and I are starting to think about planning my baby shower and I have written an initial list and there are already about 25 people on it (including myself, my Mum and my MIL)! Is this too many do you think? I always thought baby showers were more of a smaller get together so not sure of how many people is too may IYKWYM?

How many people did other people invite/have?

Also, I am thinking of having it mid-November when I will be about 35 1/2 weeks - is this leaving it too late?

Many thanks!

I had 27 ppl at my baby shower. I didn't think it was too many. We all had a great time playing games and catching up. And I don't 35weeks is leaving it too late!

I will just say firstly, that after having my baby shower last weekend, I was at 36 weeks, and my goodness I was so tired, I too helped my mum organise mine and the stress really started to get to me and also dealing with a nasty stomach bug/gastro virus,:barf:
I had to leave a lot of the plans all up to my mum. I was so stressed I got myself some extra unwanted Braxton hicks too.

But thank god that ones over with hehe, I had a blast! It was so much fun, the food was amazing and everyone had a great time.:)

Oh and as for ‘how many people is to many’ my answer to that is, depends on how many people you can handle being there! My invite list (consisting of my friends, my mum’s friends, DP’s mum’s friends- All being ladies, also including a handful of little kids) was 70! Almost 60 showed up though. But still I suppose that is a lot of people. But if I didn’t invite them all I would of felt horrible.
I suppose I would have been much less stressed out if it was just a close friends arrangement. And more food for me to eat all to myself….:o

I think 25 people is fine, it's up to you how many you want. I've been to a few showers with that many people. I had mine at 33 weeks (we had about 18 - 20 people) and i helped organise it, i was exhausted at the end of the day, but all worth it. Just try and leave as much as possible to other people on the day and enjoy your guests.

I dont think there is every too many people when it comes to sharing the joy of your pregnancy :D

Oh and Mrs. Dolphin!
I have a great punch recipe if you’re interested, PM me and I‘ll send you it. :)
We had everyone going crazy over this punch, It was so yummy!
Just imagine a non-alcoholic sangria, That’s basically all it is hehe.
Also have a lot of saved links from when I was organising a bit of my baby shower, so just let me know! It was all helpful info for me!

Good luck and have fun!:smiliedance:

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and suggestions! I think I will let Mum and some friends do most of the organising - especially on the day so I can relax a bit and enjoy it!

Hopefully the invite list won't be too many more but I do agree that it is lovely to share it all with as many friends and family as possible!

Thanks again for your input!
