Hello
I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child, due 2nd May.
The birth of my son Oliver, in Jan 2009, involved me being induced, later begging for an epidural, and ended up needing an episiotomy and vacuum extraction do deliver my 4.5kg posterior baby... not at all what I hoped for!
I am booked into the Frankston hospital and was hoping with the help of an extra support person, I would have a greater chance of a natural childbirth with little or no intervention. It is silly, but part of me feels like I failed at childbirth the first time, and I'd like to give natural childbirth another go!
Unfortunately, I'm not considered 'low risk' because I had gestational diabetes with Oliver, so I was unable to book into the Birth Centre in Frankston Hospital.
I would like to hear from any doula's available late April/ Early May in Melbourne's South East. We can't afford an experienced doula, but happy to negotiate a fee to cover your travel expenses.
Thanks, Vanessa
