Hi :chef:

Need some advice from any of you that have made strawberries dipped in chocolate before.

I had a go at it yesterday but they didn't come out so great - the chocolate didn't come out too smooth and when we went to eat them, half the chocolate stuck to my plate!

I microwaved my Cadbury cooking chocolate to melt it, would wash my strawberrries in water, dipped them in the chocolate and then placed them straight onto the plate.

Am I missing something? Or should I be letting the strawberries dry before I dip them in the chocolate?

BTW - they still tasted sensational but I just want them to be a bit more presentable for a party I'm going to later this week :)

Thank you! That's solved my problem for me - I suspected it was the fact that the strawberries were wet from washing them when I dipped them into the chocolate...........it says they need to be completely dry before starting. And also to let them dry on waxed paper first.

The strawberries right now are just sensational...........and very cheap too  Who needs bananas!

They are very cheap. My local fruit shop had them yesterday for 79c a punnet. What a bargain!

All the best with your chockie dipping. Have fun eating them too.

There is also a fantastc Cadburys dipping sauce which saves you the hassle of melting it all etc all you do is dip & the pop them in the fridge till your ready !
We have done this at every family gathering of late & its great :D

Yes, you need to let the strawberries dry before dipping :)

I also let them set on baking paper to peel them off, or foil in a pinch
