Hi girls,
Just stumbled across this and thought id start the 1st thread!
So exctied to see a thread specifically for port stephens.

So a bit about me perhaps.
Im 28 and was married in april.
Fell pregnant kinda accidentally 6 weeks later, but we are both very excited about it all now.
Am currently 33 weeks and ready for bubs to GET OUTTA ME!... id say thats mainly due to the horrific heat we've had this last week tho.
Im doing shared care with my GP (ros leitch at shoal bay) and JHH.
I wasnt too impressed with JHH at first.
My referal was sent through as soon as i moved back to the area ( about 21 weeks), and i didnt recieve my offical letter for weeks and weeks. When i got it, i was informed that my 1st antenatal appointment would be early feb... that was last week. I couldnt believe that my 1st appointment was going to be at 32 1/2 weeks!.
But it all ended up fine. Having my appointment here at the nelson bay polyclinic was great as i didnt have to travel. My MW was carol and absolutely lovely. a great listener and very calm.
we have also had a tour of the hospital a few weeks ago which was a great help too. left us confident knowing where we had to go and what to do. the labour ward was soooo quiet. hubs was scared he was gonna hear screaming, but it seemed like htere was noone in there!... as this is my 1st bub im going to be in the normal delivery room which im fine with. It looks fine to me. a good size with a shower and all the nessesary exuipment.

weve got our antenatal classes here at the polyclinic in 2 weeks, so ill let you know how it goes... looking very forward to it :cheerleader2:

I dont really know what else to tell you.
Id love to meet up with some other mums to be, or mums that have been there done that.... im happy to learn anything and everything you can to help:wave:
