Weird things happen - like O'ing on CD20?

Yesterday was CD20 and I had what I thought was O pains. I was also pretty emotional - I burst into tears for no real reason. What the?! So I did an OPK and surprisingly got a positive OPK.

Just wondering if anyone else has actually been able to pin point that they have O'd so late in their cycle and then go on to conceive? I normally O around CD13-17, so CD20 seems really late!

Hey Ally. This last cycle I had (the one we got pg on) I O'd on CD 24! My cycles are usually between 28 and 34 days, but this is the first time I have ever O'd that late. When I went to the docs, I told them I was around 5 and 1/2 weeks pg (going on LMP - I didn't believe I O'd that late), they sent me for a scan and it showed that I was only 4 and 1/2 weeks, so I definitely did O that late. I just did another OPK and its even MORE positive than the ones I did yesterday! What does it mean when the OPK's are getting darker??

From my experience with OPK's, the darker they are the closer you are to ovulating. I used to have 3 days of really faint lines then 1 day of fairly dark then 1 day of really dark, that's when we BD'd. Last month though I wasn't using OPK's, just FF and FF said I O'd on CD 14 but I knew it was later, because of cm and pains. Are you charting as well?
