she is 8 months old do i:
a. need to get her a baby toothbrush or will my finger do?
b. does she really need toothpaste yet?
c. When will she need to start seeing the dentist?
Im reading such conflicting advice on the net and would like to hear what mums in the real world do. Thanks

Dd has had a toothbrush since she was 4 months as that's when she got teeth. She loves to brush in the bath and when I brush mine in the morning. She is now 11 months.
Your not meant to use toothpaste until they can spit at about 18 months.
They are meant to go to the dentist around 1 I think, but that is just to get them used to it, so maybe when you go take bubs and get the dentist to have a look so she gets used to them.

My boys have had toothbrushes since they were about 10 months old. I just use water on DS2 who is 11 months but DS1 has toothpaste, he loves it...he is convinced it is chocolate lol.

 MagicalLeopluradon : thinks its chocolate. Thats a good one!
I got her a little toothbrush yesterday and she loves it! Teeth brushing is now her fav game. She does like to chomp down on it though with her vice jaw grip which makes the actually teethbrushing a little difficult but she's been laughing and giggling. Hope this attitude keeps up well into her childhood ;)
