Hey guys

So those of you with kids that scream and scream and cry constantly for hours on end how do you not go mad :[ DD i has had a shocking day again with her screaming, granted she is having issues with her bowel and they are painfull so that is acounting for alot of it but she is also genuintly just in a sh*t mood of late.

I feel like im going mad, today it started at 5 ( after being up 9 time in the night ) and she was ok from 5 to 5.30 then from 5.30 to about 10 she screamed her head off, then we had to go out and she was ok for a bit but then screamed for part of it then screamed all the way home from 12 to now 3.40 she has had about 30 minutes when not screaming and that was while passed out :( this is becoming a common occurance again and its doing my head in :(

How do you guys that also deal with this and not go mad

She isnt hungry, she isnt wet, she isnt bored she has lots to do, she isnt craving attention she gets lot she isnt over stimulated she is just angry, yes it brough in by pain but even once the pain is gone she is still going bak to screaming

Can i ask how old she is?? Also, are you giving her something for the pain?? If so maybe it needs to be stronger.

Ive found that when my DD is having one of those days, we have a nice relaxing shower together (most of the time just sitting on the shower floor together playing with toys or having a cuddle) and then watch a movie (if she doing ok, you can always leave her too it and have some mummy time in the other room). It works well for us, DD feels better and i also feel relaxed after a shower!!

Sounds like you had a shocker of a day!! Hang in there! :hugs::hugs:

I'll join you ... actually, I think I'm already there, maybe you should just join me rocking in the corner with your fingers in your ears, counting down the minutes until the bedtime fight. :crying:

Sorry ... I'm no help, I'd love a magic solution :(

she four years old wel 5 in march
, pain wise she is pretty well covered she is on 6 hourly IV form buscapan at a hefty dose, and she has had some of her stong pain meds this morning as well due to the pain being really intense, if she needs anything stonger than what she has had the only thing is IV narcotics :( and well if she has another few hours of screaming that will be where she is heading.

She cant sit on the floor in the shower she has her bath chair but if i put her in that it means her dressing will get all wet and I will have to change it meaning more pain :(

The mummy time in another room sounds like a great idea but the mood she is in i will come back to a tube free child which would be an awesome thing if she didnt need them :(

Im just so over the screaming its doing my head in the last week or so, it comes in waves she wil scream and scream and scream then just get all sucky but still screaming as soon as i try to move away from her even for a second. Her belly is hurting in her chair so she dont want to sit in it she doesnt want to play and its hurting her if i try to pick her up. but then other times the pain goes and she is fine

Sounds like your having a shocking day, had plenty of those so can totally empathize..
You always have something positive and supportive to say to others and seem to have alot of empathy which always comes through in your posts... I love reading your comments.. Off topic I know but just saying :D
Hope your day (night) gets better
