View Full Version : When did your Premmie Crawl\walk?
Just out of curiosty to all the premmie parents,
How early was your bub and at what age did they first crawl\walk...
I have been told some bubs dont crawl\walk untill 18 months?
And some can be even longer,My dd2 is still too little and im not expecting anything soon as she is only 4months (2 months corrected).
Has any bubs defied the odds and started early?:)

Zach crawled at 10.5 months (8 and a bit adjusted), he didnt walk until almost 18 months or 16 months adjusted.
Zach first rolled one way at 7 months birth age and then both ways at 9 months (just before 6 months adjusted)
Bella (5 weeks early) rolled both ways at 6 months birth age or just before 5 months adjusted. She crawled at 10 months birth age (9 adjusted) and is now 14 months and almost walking
My DS was 4 weeks early but unwell for a while so they told me to adjust by 5 weeks...
He rolled lateish, around 7 months but was crawling by 10months and walked at 11mths and has been "in a hurry" ever since :o
My girlfriend whos DD was born at 27 weeks didnt walk until she was around 17mths.

DD2 was 17 weeks early and she started walking at around 16mths which would have been 12mths corrective age.

My dd was born at 31w 5d.
She is now 11 months (17/10) 9 months corrected. She started to crawl the other night, she is now on the go crawling anywhere and everywhere.
She can pull herself up on things and she walks holding onto them. She can also hoon around in her walker.
The doctors said she is extremely developed for her age mentally but the physical side can be early or late.
We are very proud of her :D
YAY to all premmies :smiliedance:

My DS was born 3 months early he is 9 months old now but just over 6 months correct.
He sits on his own for a little while before he topples over. He is rolling over and holding his head up etc. He does get frustrated that he can't run around yet. My friends has 18 month old twins and man did he want to chase them when he clapped eyes on them!
We bought a few toys that help with sitting etc but he loves his gym set. He just lies there kicking the heck out of the dangling toys.
I think the key is not to stress when they are doing something such as crawling within a certain time frame. Even babies that had a pretty uneventful birth take their time to do these things:)
