HI  monique,
Sorry to hear about your loss. You seem to be focused on the future and this a good thing when ttc ...
there are some really good books, available that go through ttc after a miscarriage and they can be helpful. I've read two; a clinical medical approach and one written by those of us that have gone through it. I'd be happy to give you the titles if you'd like.
One thing I've learnt is, one or two miscarriages is 'normal' as 25% of conceptions don't implant and develop into viable pregnancies. The medical profession have a clinical approach to these...and it can upset you as hard as it is you are best to accept these as a trial run, nature's way ........
I'd recommend getting the all clear from a GP or Gynecologist - sometimes miscarriages are incomplete and require medical assistance. Your reproductive health is vital to healthy pregnancies.
To answer your question though, it would vary from women to women. The length of time it takes can't really be prodicted, though I so wish it could. Good luck :D

Before we had bella we m/c and 2-3 months later we were preg again with her. We were carrying twins and m/c one very early one and we did have problems the whole way thru pregnancy and birth but it was not related to having a prior m/c.
Hi Monique,
Sorry to hear of your loss.
To answer your question, I lost a bub on the 9th of Jan (I was 7 wks) and my last period before pg with this one was 19th of March. (Got positive test on 15 April). It doesnt seem like a long time looking at it like that, but it seemed like ages at the time, and an emotional roller coaster! It took 5 weeks for my period to come back and in that time had positive preg tests so it got confusing!!
Good Luck to you. I hope it doesnt take long!! :fingerscrossed:
Hi there,
it took me 5 months to get pregnant again after my miscarriage and it took 8 weeks for my period to return which honestly drove me insane. I was so keen to get pregnant again that it felt like forever. It was a very emotional time. I wish you all the best -cry whenever you need to. My second pregnancy resulted in my very healthy, precious son Patrick and there was only one scare when I had a small bleed at 10 weeks (which was brown rather than red blood which I was told was a good sign). Look after yourself.

My friend miscarried in Dec. and was pregnant again in March. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have never gone through it before but after what happened to my friend I know how hard it can be. Keep the faith and Good Luck to you!:hugs:
In total i have had 3 MC's now hoping this time we get it right..... Good Luck to you.
Hey i had a D&C done 3rd March was pregnant again in April lost that bub in june and now 5 weeks pregnant again.
I had a m/c at 7.5 weeks. It took about 5 weeks for my period to arrive. I fell pregnant the next cycle. My DD is now 2.5 years old and I'm expecting my 3rd child in November.
I only ever had one m/c but it was devastating. I'd timed the pregnancy for a particular time of year. I just had to let all that go and wait.....
The waiting is very hard. My best wishes go out to all the bub hubbers who have multiple miscarriages and are playing the waiting game every month. It's especially hard when you don't have any children yet. Good luck.
Regards
Flib
