:wave: Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on whether or not it's bad to have a bath while TTC?. I can't imagine that it would be but have been told otherwise. I LOVE:smiliedance: my baths and some times spend an hour or so in them!

I think having a bath could actually be good for trying to concieve. (such a stress reliever) However it is not good for dh to have hot baths, because it can lower sperm count. Also, women can get infections easily from the soaps and stuff, so you want to be careful about that. :wave:

I have been told that hot baths are not good for dh but i have no idea about us. I have a question to add if that's ok...:o
Is it ok to have hot baths or spas in early pg??
I think they say to avoid really hot baths when you are pregnant to avoid the risk of your temp getting too high - which can be bad for bub. Found this little bit of info;
Heavy exercise (illness, saunas and hot baths) that raise your body temperature above 38.5o Celsius (or 101.3o Fahrenheit) for more than 20 minutes at a time should be avoided. This is generally restricted to elite athletes, or people who train for marathon runs, as most normal exercise activities will only slightly increase the body temperature, which is normal and regarded as safe. Keeping your heart rate below 140 beats per minute is also advisable.
But I don't think it really matters when ttc - only when pregnant.

I also go to the gym - and have been told to get myself a heart rate monitor if I fall preg - just to make sure my h.r does not go over about 140. They say about 3 good workouts a week are recommended when ttc - but not full on everyday.
Good luck :thumbsup:
